2018-2019 Fall Sports
A new school year has started and Fall sports are in full swing. The Fall sports are Football, Softball, Boys Soccer, Volleyball, Cross Country and Girls Golf. The schedules have been updated for these sports.
Football has opened the season with two impressive wins (49-6 over Mexico and 54-7 over Fulton). The Eagles take on Versailles and look to improve to 3-0 on the season and start the conference schedule off with a win.
The Softball team opened the season by winning the 31st Annual Hallsville Tournament. The Lady Eagles swept through Van Far, Hallsville, and Salisbury to capture the title while only allowing only 1 run over the three games. The Lady Eagles won at Boonville 15-5 and then received their first loss of the season at Fatima. Then the Lady Eagles finally got to play on the brand new field. A wonderful ceremony had Alum Katie Price and members of the 1981 State Championship team to throw out first pitches. The Lady Eagles then delivered a wonderful game by pulling out a 3-2 win in 11 innings over Father Tolton. Southern Boone dropped a tough one to Hickman to run their record to 5-2 for the season.
Boys Soccer opened the season with three impressive wins of their own. The Eagles started out the year by defeating Osage 4-0 and Boonville 7-1 to win the Tri-County Conference Championship to start the season. The Eagles came back last night to defeat MMA 10-0 and avenged one of their tough losses from last year.
The Volleyball team has continued the trend of coming out strong in their season. The Lady Eagles have started out the year with 3 strong wins the Lady Eagles defeated Mexico 2-0, Boonville 2-1, and Eugene 2-0. It's only the third time the Volleyball team has started the season 3-0 or better (2013 and 2014).
